What the soul craves

Spending an afternoon or an evening in the sauna forces you into doing one thing: nothing. There is nothing to do but sit, sweat and share the experience with loved ones. One of the biggest benefits from using a sauna is not just the heat, but scheduling time to be unscheduled, to do nothing.

What the heart wants
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death, but its preventable with sauna, among other things as part of a healthy lifestyle. When you put yourself into a hot environment, the body must compensate to cool down. It does this by sweating, and by pumping more blood to the extremities to help sweat more. The result of this increased work on the heart helps to keep it strong, preventing cardiovascular disease in a way similar to exercise.

What the brain needs

The brain is like any other organ, it needs blood flow. The sauna is a wonderful way to get blood flowing to the brain. Studies have shown a decreased risk of dementia and Alzheimer's with increased sauna use. The more sauna, the lower rates of cognitive diseases later in life.

Perfect for any body
The benefits of sauna are immense.
Decreased risk for most diseases we know about, including mental health. But what makes sauna so wonderful is not just these benefits, its that almost anyone can access this, regardless of where they are with their health. Not everyone is ready to start running, or biking, or meditating.

Sauna provides a relaxing way to not only feel good, but to do good, for yourself and your body.
And going to the sauna with other people, or meeting people who also sauna, can create long lasting and close knit relationships. These types of relationships are now emerging as a core factor in a long and healthy life.
